North Avenue Barber Co.
A fictional barbershop business, built out properly so you can judge our work without us claiming credit for anyone else’s. Every design decision on it has a reason, and the reasons are written down below.
Art direction
Warm, masculine, photographic. Espresso and brass, condensed display type, atmosphere before information.
What this industry actually gets wrong.
- Bookings live in DMs and phone calls, so nobody knows how many were missed
- No-shows cost a chair hour that cannot be resold
- Instagram looks great, Google looks abandoned
- New customers cannot tell who is available today
What the build does about it.
- Book-now-first homepage with the barber and the chair visible
- Booking integration with reminders that cut no-shows
- Google Business Profile with real photos and service list
- Review requests sent automatically after an appointment
Every choice on the page, and why it is there.
This is what separates a website from a system. The same notes are available inside the demo itself, in the panel at the bottom right.
- 01Hero
- Headline sells the ease of booking, not the haircut. For a repeat-purchase business the friction is the objection, not the product.
- 02Availability strip
- Live openings create legitimate urgency without a fake countdown. If the shop is empty, the strip says so.
- 03Pricing on page
- Published prices filter out price shoppers before they occupy a booking slot, and remove the most common reason people call instead of booking.
- 04Barber selection first
- Choosing a person before a time raises perceived value and drives rebooking with the same barber, which is the real retention lever.
- 05Reminder promise
- Stated on the page because the no-show reduction is the owner's actual business case for the whole build.
- 06Re-cut guarantee
- Risk reversal on a low-ticket purchase. Cheap to honour, removes the last hesitation for a first-time client.
- Booking integration with a real scheduling provider — we do not rebuild a calendar from scratch for a three-chair shop.
- Automated reminder and review-request flow is the profitable half of this project.
- Google Business Profile is the true homepage for a barbershop. This site exists to convert the tap that comes from it.
- Average ticket
- $25–$60
- Lifetime value
- $450–$1,400/yr for a regular client
- Market cost per lead
- Below the $66.69 all-industry average; Beauty & Personal Care CPL fell ~35% YoY in 2026
- Usually
- Growth
Low ticket, very high repeat rate. Value is in retention and no-show reduction, not lead volume. Rarely a good paid-ads client.

This is a demonstration, not a client.
North Avenue Barber Co. does not exist. The reviews, ratings and prices on the demo are invented for the exercise. We built it so you can judge our work without us borrowing someone else’s.
The audit
Let's find the leak.
Five questions, about a minute. We look at your website, your local search presence and the path a customer actually takes — then send you the three biggest opportunities in writing.
No charge, no obligation, and you get it whether or not you ever hire us.
